This exclusive Hybrid Chess Tournament is designed to test players’ tactical speed and strategic depth across five intense rounds. The competition begins in the digital arena with fast-paced Online Rapid matches. As the tournament progresses and the field narrows, top contenders transition to Over-the-Board (OTB) play, where real-board pressure and true competitive intensity come into play.
Rounds:
1)Round 1 : Online Rapid Arena (10min + 00sec Increment) Matches will be conducted following the FIDE Swiss System or Round Robin format, hosted on the chess.com or Lichess platform.
2)Round 2 : Online Rapid Arena (10min + 00sec Increment) Matches will be conducted following the FIDE Swiss System or Round Robin format, hosted on the chess.com or Lichess platform.
3) Round 3 : OTB Rapid Arena (10min + 00sec increment) Games will be conducted Over the Board, or as online matches on chess.com/Lichess, subject to the availability of chess boards and chess clocks.
4) Round 4 : OTB Rapid Arena (10min + 00sec increment) Games will be conducted Over the Board, or as online matches on chess.com/Lichess, subject to the availability of chess boards and chess clocks.
5) Round 5 : OTB Rapid Arena (10min + 00sec increment) Games will be conducted Over the Board, or as online matches on chess.com/Lichess, subject to the availability of chess boards and chess clocks.
Rules:
1) Fair Play & Conduct : Strictly no cheating, engines, external help, tab switching, or advice. Anti-cheat systems on Chess.com/Lichess apply, and violations lead to immediate disqualification. Professional behavior is mandatory; abuse or distraction results in warnings or forfeiture.
2)Technical Requirements : Players must bring their own internet-enabled device and have valid, non-banned Chess.com and Lichess accounts. Stable internet is the player’s responsibility; disconnections causing timeouts count as losses.
3)Tournament Format & Scoring : Matches follow the FIDE Swiss System or Round Robin based on participation. Scoring is standard: win = 1 point, draw = 0.5, loss = 0. All games use a strict 10-minute + 0-second time control.
4) Hybrid Phase Rules (Rounds 3–5) : Games are primarily Over-the-Board, but may switch to online if boards or clocks are unavailable. OTB rules include touch-move enforcement, same-hand clock usage, and loss after two illegal moves.
5) Online Gameplay Rules : Online moves are final, mouse slips are not reversible, and players must prevent auto-resignation due to inactivity or app minimization.
6) Dispute Resolution : Any disputes regarding gameplay, rules, or conduct are resolved by the Arbiter or Coordinator, whose decision is final and binding.
