X-TypeStrike is a typing competition where you can test your typing speed, accuracy, and focus in a fun and competitive way. The event is divided into multiple rounds, and the difficulty level increases as you move ahead.
Rules:
1. The event will be conducted in the college computer lab using the systems provided.
2. Each participant will be given a fixed number of words in every round.
3. The timer will start when the participant begins typing.
4. Results will be based on the time taken to complete the given text.
5. An error penalty will be applied in Round 2 and Round 3 to ensure accuracy along with speed.
6. The programming round will be case-sensitive to maintain the challenge level.
7. Use of copy-paste or any unfair means is strictly prohibited.
8. A short demo or warm-up test will be provided before the first round.
9. In case of any technical issue, the participant may be given a re-test with a new text of the same level.
10. In case of a tie, the decision will be made based on fewer errors or an additional short test.
11. No abusing during event any Participants found abusing will be disqualified on the sport.
12. Id card is necessary.
Round 1 – Easy Level:
• In this round, participants will appear for an easy-level typing test conducted in the computer lab
•Participants will be divided into groups of 10 students, and each group will be tested separately.
• The objective of this round is to check the basic typing speed and keyboard familiarity of the participants.
• Each participant will be given a fixed number of common English words to type.
• Participants who complete the typing in minimum time will be selected as the top 3 and move to the next round.
• The top 3 participants from each group will qualify for the next round.
Round 2 – Hard Level:
• Participants who qualify from Round 1 will participate in Round 2.
• This round includes a high-level typing test with longer and more complex words.
• The objective of this round is to test both typing speed and accuracy under increased difficulty.
• A fixed number of words will be given to each participant
• An error penalty (0.5 second) will be applied for typing mistakes to ensure accuracy.
• Based on overall (time & accuracy) performance, the top 5 participants will qualify for the final round.
Round 3 – Programming Level:
• Round 3 is the final and most challenging round of the event.
• This round includes programming-related text consisting of coding keywords, symbols, and special characters.
• Typing in this round will be strictly case-sensitive.
• Error penalties will be applied, and accuracy will play a major role in evaluation.
• The winners will be decided based on their performance in this round.
